![]() ![]() Full system recovery solved this but I have thought that it was caused by updated video drivers which I havent ever downloaded and installed again. At first I experienced this 2 months ago, reading all DVD (movies) was choppy. Again the same problem with reading DVDs. ![]() There is no point contacting them until you have carried out a Drive C:\ Recovery as this is the first thing they will ask you to do. If none of these work, you may have a hardware problem and you need to contact Vaio-Link. Make sure you back up all your Data as the contents of C:\ will be lost and your Vaio returned to the factory configuration. Last resort is to perform a full C:\ Drive System Recovery from your Recovery Discs. The disc information is held on the outside tracks for DVDs and the inner tracks for CDs.Ĩ. If your drive works with either CDs or DVDs only make sure the ribbon cable is not preventing the reader head from moving freely - check that the laser head in the drive can move freely for the whole range of its travel. Try a liquid lens cleaner on the lens and polish with a microfibre cloth ? this can sometimes help.ħ. Also try a different brand of discs - Sony, TDK and Verbatim seem favourites.Ħ. Try some different software to read/write your discs and see if that works. Re-booting your Vaio will reinstall the drivers.ĥ. If there is no error and the drive is reported as working normally, try Uninstalling the drive by right-clicking on it in Device Manager and choosing Uninstall. If there is an Error Code or a yellow triangle with a ! or ? come back here with the number and we may be able to help.Ĥ. While writing this, I just discovered that on my laptop running Windows 8.1 64-bit, I don't get DVD audio or video in EasyWorship.Several members seem to have problems with their CD/DVD drives at the moment. Same symptoms, and the codec info is the same as above. The other system I checked is Win 7 Home Premium 32-bit. The Video Codec Troubleshooting option gives me this output: Audio seems to work fine on the system overall, and DVDs playback fine in Windows Media Player, but when I set up a DVD clip in EasyWorship there is no sound. I first noticed it on a system where I just installed Win 7 Professional 64-bit. I do not have any audio from DVDs, and the issue is showing up on two separate computers. I am having an issue that I need to get some help with, though. First, I want to tell you that I am really enjoying EasyWorship 6!
